Street Fighter V

-Refixed and Updated

With all the stylizing and visual flair in this new entry, this is one game that NEEDED to be 3D ready. Fortunately the game only required a few simple fixes to get it darn near perfect.

Fixed:
-Lighting & Shadows
-Halos
-Reflections

Disabled:
-Tire track ground decal in City in Chaos stage (Now fixed in version 3.0)

Updated to version 3.0 on 10-06-2019
-Complete remake of fix using regex to ensure future update compatibility
-Correctly fixed specular highlights and decals (previously unfixable tire track)
-Added an automatic convergence preset for in fights, so no longer required to use a manual toggle switch
-I did not explore the story mode, so there may be broken shaders there. I already fixed the story once before. If you missed  it, then tough break, it's not worth my time to fix again.

Updated to version 2.2 on 10-27-2016
-Fixes shadows under characters that were missing after one of the latest updates
-Fixed lighting/specular reflections, which were previously disabled all together (needs high convergence around 150-250 for them to be in the correct location). Adds another layer to the awesome visuals
-Added side-by-side / top-and-bottom 3D support

Previous updates:
-2.1: Fixed regression, where broken tire track effect in City in Chaos stage reappeared
-2.0: Fix for Story Mode shaders. Also fixed some additional lighting/shadows that were previously unfixed

INSTRUCTIONS

1. DownloadVersion 3.0
2. Install to: ..\Street Fighter V\Street Fighter V\Binaries\Win64

Additional functions:
-Pressing the \ key toggles HUD on/off
-Pressing the [ key cycles the HUD through various depths.
*Note: This does cause the life bars to glitch a little and not display correct amount of life for a short while after taking a hit, but they should show correct values after some time. You can cycle until they are at screen depth if you don't like the glitch, or change "z = 0.5" to "z = 0.0" in the d3dx.ini file.

Enjoy!

  3. What can I say? I'm very passionate about 3D Vision, and now that I've learned the tools am very eager & enthusiastic to put them to good use. :) I explicitly chose to jump on this sooner, rather than later, for the benefit of the community (and because this game deserved it), and yes, to keep the momentum going. Plus, it was an easy fix, so that definitely helped!

  4. thank you DJ RK. i'll use your fix when i'll buy this game. you're a great addition to the Helix team because there are so many games to fix. Do you have a SLI ?

    1. Cheers, I appreciate that. And by all means, every new addition to the team is a great boon to the community!

And yes, I'm running 2 780's (reference, not TI) in SLI.

  5. As per the 3dvision forums it appears this game stretches the image in 3d mode. Is this happening for everyone? I've never seen this before.

  6. thank you very much DJ-RK , for some reason this also fixes gamestream on shield portable (controller was not detected by the game... with your fix, it is!). You rock :D

  7. Thank you so much. I really wasn't expecting a fix this soon. The buttons to toggle convergence and HUD were also a great idea.

  9. Looks very nice! Love this game in 3d. I can verify that you could play online with the fix. However, it does crash a lot :(

    1. Is that specifically with 3D enabled? Also, for my own purpose, can you please mention what OS and Nvidia driver version you're running?

    2. A 980ti on Windows 10. It hasn't been crashing lately. Maybe it was just me. Had to set the detail to 1080p and medium settings to get 60fps. Also, the shadows are messed up when you set it to low detail. Good job btw! I'm really enjoying this.

    3. Hmmm. For me, on Windows 10, I can't run the game with 3D Vision enabled, I get a memory could not be read error (it boots fine without 3D Vision enabled, though). I have to boot into Windows 7 for it to work. Another person on the Geforce forums said he was having the same issue, and everyone else that I knew that was playing this in 3D was on earlier versions of Windows, so I'm a bit surprised to hear you're able to run it. I submitted a bug report, so hopefully something will come from it, I certainly don't like having to boot to Windows 7 just to play 1 game.

    4. Still running fine on my system. I play it in 3D all the time. I think it stopped crashing after I turned off shadowplay. I get errors about not being able to access memory when I quit the game with shadowplay off. If there's something you want to know about my system, let me know.

  10. Very nice in 3D, thank you very much. Crashes on startup with SLI, but runs rock solid with a single card.

  11. Thanks for fix, having troubling getting it to run though, 980 sli, referenced memory error.

    1. Yeah, same here, on Windows 10. Only occurs with 3D Vision enabled. Turning it off and the game boots fine.

Only way I could get it working with 3D Vision was to boot into Windows 7, so that's the only solution I can suggest to you.

I've raised a bug report in the Steam forum, but I'm not exactly expecting a fast response.

  12. great fix, but the 3d vision colors are always horrible. i can usually change the anaglyph type to cyan/red through reg editor, but the changes won't apply or do absolutely nothing with this.

    any suggestions??

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Wow, pretty cool that you successfully play with Discover mode. If the system wide reg edit doesn't work, you can very often setup a color profile for your monitor or TV, and tweak the red and cyan to match your glasses. Use the NVidia control panel for output colors, and you can radically change the colors.

You should be able to set it so that you get the best match, while wearing your glasses in that. Will take some fiddling.

  13. thanx for the fix man awesome work ;) what about auto convergence??

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. You're most welcome! Unfortunately auto-convergence (otherwise known as "scene detection") currently is not possible yet. When I asked the 3DMigoto devs back when this fix was first released they indicated that requires several features to be implemented. Some of them have been added since then, but not all of them yet.

  14. Hi DJ-RK, I have download the updated fix. Deleted the original fix files and placed the new files as instructed. Though it still renders the shaders incorrectly. It's like double vision. Are you able to advise what I did wrong in the installation?

    Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Actually, you reminded me that I forgot to add instructions to update the Nvidia driver profile, which was necessary for the Story Mode. I've included that now, so see #3 under instructions for that.

But if you're getting double vision all the time, in regular gameplay, then I would wager that you probably did not install the fix to the correct directory. I've provided the correct directory in the instructions, please make sure you've extracted the files there.

      Delete
    2. I have followed the updated instructions but still it doesn't render the 3D correctly for the characters :(. 1.0 worked fine but version 2.0 doesn't for me at the moment.

      Delete
    3. Others have reported that the fix is working fine on their end, and so far you're the only person having an issue, so the only thing I can suggest would be to completely uninstall the fix (and possibly even the game itself) and reinstall the new fix. Maybe even do a DDU uninstall of the Nvidia driver and reinstall that.

  15. Didn't worked for me. Got full separation of both vision sides, causing even some artifacts. At least the default compatibility mode (ALT + CTRL + F11) is already good with just minor issues.

    1. Ok, try this one and report back if it worked: http://www.mediafire.com/download/q46paytwu44ezbp/SFV_fix_test.zip

      Delete
    2. Yep, worked way better. But I need to test the previous patch again, because I found that compatibility mode was on and the issues remained, once I disable it, everything look very good.

      Delete
    3. Ok, so if the 'test' version worked for you then that confirms that you did not install the original fix to the correct location as per the instructions above. If you want to install the latest update 2.1, which is newer than the test version, then you'll have to install it to the correct location. It only fixes one broken effect on the City in Chaos stage, so if you're happy enough with the test fix as is, then you don't need to bother.

And yes, with the latest Nvidia drivers, the game will default to compatibility mode on.

  16. Thanks for the fix, but why on earth add a convergence switch on the xbox shoulder button in a game that uses every single button of the game pad? I'm constantly changing the convergence while playing, any way to disable this?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I originally had it on the right stick button (where you click it in) in the first version of the fix (pre-story mode), but I switched over to using my fightstick which doesn't have the right stick and doesn't need to use the shoulder buttons for all 3 punches/kicks.

You can edit which button (or keyboard key) by opening the d3dx.ini file and changing line 90 from

      Key = XB_LEFT_TRIGGER

      to

      Key = XB_RIGHT_THUMB

or any other button/key that you'd like.

  17. I've just made a minor update to the fix to v2.1. This disables a shader (tire tracks on the ground) on the City in Chaos stage that I rebroke while doing the story mode fix.

I also reverted the convergence toggle back to being on the Xbox Right Stick button by default. See my previous response on this page for instructions on how to set that to any button/key of your choosing.

  19. Hey, I'm new to 3DTV Play. Is this thread still active? I have a GTX 970 and Windows 10. I think I'm experiencing the halos. It's like space and time warps around the character right? I would just download it and find out but I saw something about 3DMigoto and that web page says it's for DirectX 11. I have 12 so I figured I'd just try to ask first. Is that okay?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. The halos you are describing sound like the Compatibility Mode. Turn that off using Ctrl-Alt-F11, when advanced settings are enabled for 3D Vision.

There is no DirectX12, that's presently just a Microsoft scam. There are only 5 or so games that are DX12, and all have a DX11 path, which is what we fix. Any card built in the last 5 years can do both DX11 and DX12.

This game will work fine in DX11.

  20. Cool, thanks. Last thing, I forgot to mention I'm using a TV. It's a 3D Panasonic Viera. I'm just using the 14 day free trial of the 3DTV Play with the glasses that came with my TV. Never got the 3D Vision stuff (glasses, USB thing, etc.). That's okay too?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yes, that should work fine. All our stuff works on 3DTV Play as well. The only drawback is that you can only use 720p as the output, as restricted by NVidia. You might be able to use the Top/Bottom feature to run at 1080p. Look at the 3D Vision forums for more help.

@DJ-RK: The download file has the wrong permissions, only you can access it. Needs to be set to Public.

  21. ....Wow....this is GREAT. I initially thought this was a fix for compatibility mode because the nvidia rating for 3D vision is "not recommended" and compatibility mode is "excellent". I was using compatibility mode because, yea, 3D Vision mode was completely wrecked. In compatibility mode there was major lag but I thought it was my hardware. Also, there was some distortion around the characters. I did instructions 1 and 2 and now 3D vision mode is perfect. And those additional functions are sweet (I play on stick and I found out Left Stick button is ">" on keyboard but I don't know what Right Stick button for keyboard is for the convergence toggle). I didn't do instruction 3......what does that add?? I just didn't do it because it looks complicated.......

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. If you don't do the 3rd instruction, then you will most likely have some really broken effects in the Story Mode. If you don't plan on playing Story Mode then you could probably just ignore it.

Also, I just started replaying FFT yesterday! I didn't recognize your handle before, but obviously do now. :)

  23. seems with the update it doesnt work anymore, both characters are invisible now, with Arcade edition.
was a fantastic fix while it lasted, many thanks for it.

  24. Yeah, it's too bad the fix has lost it's soul, SFV is unplayable on the NVIDIA SHIELD TV :'(

  25. Sorry everyone. Gaming and fixing has taken a back seat to life these days. Spending more time with family and such. I was particularly fond of the graphical impact this game had in 3D, so I'd certainly hate to leave this one broken. Can't make any promises, but I'll try keeping this one in mind and whip something together on a day I have to myself (which are few and far between).
